We are selling our house. That's the big news. We hope to buy another house that will be our house. That's even bigger news. After living in Mae Beck's house for thirty four years, I'm more than ready for another house. Having Multiple Sclerosis means daily compromises and difficulties. The hardest has been stairs. We have lots of stairs in this house! We live on the second floor. The laundry is in the basement. Can you see my first problem? Our livingroom is on the first floor as is my office. The newest bedrooms are on the third floor. Now that the kids have moved out on their own, that's our storage area. Everything seems to be up there! This house has way too much room for two people and three cats.
This house, Mae Beck's house, has been in my family for eighty-five years. I have owned it for thirty-three years. My kids grew up here. My grandmother, Mae Beck, died here. Three members of my family have died here and three members of my family have been born here. The events sort of cancel each other out, time to go!
